An unforgettable weekend

"Wow! What an amazing place this is! We watched the platypus, listened to an amazing chorus of birds, fished, swam in the creek, walked and most importantly thought not much about anything else but each other."

Ripples on the Creek is a 100-acre Wagyu cattle farm located on the scenic ‘Lions Road’, set in the foothills of the Border Ranges National Park - just two hours south of Brisbane, and 20 minutes north of the local township of Kyogle, known as the ‘Gateway to the Rainforests’.

Their stylish cabins are a wonderful spot for a romantic getaway. Nestled beside the beautiful Grady’s Creek, each one-bedroom cabin provides you with rural surroundings, comfort and a touch of luxury. A place where you can relax, rejuvenate and reconnect.

There are three cabins for you to choose from. All cabins feature a spa bath on the deck, king size bed, fireplace, well-equipped kitchenette, coffee machine, Weber BBQ, bathroom with walk-in shower and rain showerhead, a separate lounge/dining area, Smart TV, air conditioning and a spacious deck with views of the creek and/or countryside.

There are plenty of things to see and do. At Ripples on the Creek, you have the choice of simply staying in the comfort of your cabin and lazing the days away; or alternatively heading out and exploring all the property has to offer. The creek that meanders its way through the property, offers swimming, fishing, bushwalking, and platypus spotting. There is a hill that you can climb for an early morning or late afternoon walk, and you will be rewarded at the top with the view of the glorious landscape. There is a range of bird life and other wildlife on the property, as well as pretty gardens to explore. Ripples on the Creek is also a great base for discovering all the Northern Rivers region has to offer, including the Border Ranges National Park which is only a short drive from the property.

  • The quality of the cottages is lovely, inside and out and it's just so quiet. The bed is beautiful and the linen soft which makes for a beautiful nights sleep. We also loved that shrubs around the cottage which make it completely private without blocking the view of the creek, green green green paddocks and timbered hills, while attracting the bird life. It was just a perfect place to stay; relaxing, quiet, private.

  • Had a wonderful two night stay. Everything was amazing. It was so romantic. We had to try the Spa bath on the verandah. Superb. Watching the Platypus swimming from the verandah was one of many highlights of our stay. Will be coming back for more and this time I'll bring the fishing rods to try and catch some of the Bass in the creek. Thank you for a wonderful, romantic stay.

  • Wow! What an amazing place this is! We watched the platypus, listened to an amazing chorus of birds, fished, swam in the creek, walked and most importantly thought not much about anything else but each other. We can't wait to come back. The cabin was well stocked and very comfortable. Unforgettable weekend - we can't wait to do it again.
