Maybe you're looking for the perfect setting to propose to your lovebird ... why not be the next in a long line of happy couples to get engaged here.
Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat is an eco-tourist's delight - stroll under giant strangler figs, along fern lined gorges, lay in a hammock over a crystal pool, then snuggle up for the night with your loved one and let the chorus of native wildlife serenade you to sleep.
Thirteen architect-designed, fully self-contained nests are spaced well apart and surrounded by trees for maximum seclusion. Located in a spectacular lush rainforest environment, the cabins, bungalows and lodges have been strategically placed within the dense canopy, ensuring total privacy, whilst providing natural exposure to the forest. They are all fully self-contained with kitchen facilities and barbeque. Featuring generous use of plantation and native timbers, steel and glass, they are of open plan design with spacious living areas inside and out. All bathrooms have floor to ceiling glass windows where only the birds and echidnas can peer in, king size beds and a spa bath large enough to share and dissolve the stresses of life or to refresh after a vigorous forest walk.
Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat lies in the Tweed Valley between Byron Bay and the Gold Coast hinterland.

Crystal Creek Rainforest Retreat offers six types of luxury accommodation, set right inside the Australian rainforest.
Creekside Spa Cabins
The Creekside Spa Cabins have a fully equipped kitchen overlooking a large but intimate living area with a fireplace (the Tamarind Cabin has a romantic fireplace in the bedroom), opening onto covered deck.
A separate bedroom with king size bed adjoins ensuite containing intimate double spa bath with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the rainforest. Set down in the thick rainforest, these pitched roof bungalows create a romantic setting for you and your partner. Listen to the sound of the flowing creek as you wine and dine by candlelight, then surround the indoor spa with candles, turn on the outside spotlights and gaze out the window at the unique beauty that is the Crystal Creek Rainforest.
RAINFOREST CANOPY BUNGALOWS
An intimate, split-level design with oak lined curved ceiling and expansive windows. The lounge/dining/kitchen area opens onto a large deck equipped with barbeque, table setting and lounge chairs where you can enjoy a book or simply lay back, relax and absorb the surrounding beauty. As with all their bungalows, the bathroom has a walk-in shower, large sunken spa bath and floor to ceiling windows overlooking the pristine rainforest.
GLASS TERRACE BUNGALOWS
A very spacious open plan bungalow almost totally surrounded by glass, allowing uninterrupted views of the stunning rainforest. These bungalows also boast a galley style kitchen, DVD/CD surround sound system, double spa bath and walk-in shower both with rainforest vista. Eight sliding doors open to a large covered deck, where you can prepare your favourite barbeque meal, then relax back and enjoy the forest's serenity.
LUXURY RAINFOREST LODGE - CEDAR LODGE
This lodge has a beautifully lush rainforest aspect and views up to the nearby mountaintops. Amazingly open yet extremely private, this lodge is over 300 metres from the nearest bungalow.
The ultimate in rainforest luxury, the open plan of this contemporary architect's design has a floor space (including the deck) of nearly 200 square metres. Its amazing marble spa bathroom with floor to ceiling glass windows integrates the stunning beauty of the rainforest with the indulgence of a double spa. A cosy, romantic double-sided fireplace screens the bedroom from the generous living area, while reverse-cycle air conditioning keeps you comfortable all year round. A large premium-quality Sony HD flat screen television plays remotely controlled television or DVD to both bed and living areas. Limited edition prints by Joan Miro and eye-catching interior design touches lift the ambience of this lodge.
Built into the deck is a private plunge pool continuously heated to 28–30 degrees C. An extendable awning allows use of the generous deck area whether rain or shine.
MOUNTAIN VIEW LODGES
They also have five Luxury Mountain View Lodges - see separate listing on LoveBirds ... they really needed to shine on their own - so stunning!
