Loved it

"After a hectic couple of months we needed a place to relax and stay. No better place than a cabin surrounded by trees, possums, kangaroos, birds, wombats, echidnas and the sound of the ocean."

Venus Bay Eco Retreat offers ultimate privacy with one self-contained cottage nestled in an enchanted Banksia forest on Venus Bay Peninsula, 2.5 hours from Melbourne city.

The cottage is a modern barn conversion, with grid connected solar power and energy efficient design. The cosy loft bedroom is ideal for couples. The downstairs open plan lounge, dining and kitchenette feature picture windows and quality furnishings. The modern bathroom has a separate walk-in shower, a freestanding bath with private views and a generous supply of solar heated rainwater.

Trimmings include quality linen, warm bath sheets, organic teas, rainforest alliance freshly ground organic coffee, organic botanical bathroom products, beach towels and a well equipped kitchenette with outdoor BBQ.

You can walk to stunning beaches nearby at Cape Liptrap Coastal Park and bird-rich wetlands at Anderson Inlet. Wilsons Promontory National Park is a scenic 60km drive along the coast. Boutique wineries, slow food restaurants, galleries and rural villages are also close by.

Guest Book
  • The bush offers plenty of adventure here at Venus Bay. We found ourselves gazing upon amazing wildlife, beautiful wetlands, squeaky white sand beaches and native Australian bush. We met our first wombat, saw kangaroos in the wild and really enjoyed the mischief of the birds.

  • Thank you, we had a really lovely and relaxing time - it’s so peaceful here and you really are lucky (well hard work and dedication plays a big part too!) to live in such an untouched corner of Victoria. Will see you again soon.
