FEATURES

The Australasian Circa 1858 features: lobby, restaurant, reading room, complimentary parking, room service and wifi in common guest areas.

THE GARDEN ROOM

The Garden Room is the only downstairs room. It features a sunny private deck overlooking a sub-tropical garden. The Garden Room has gorgeous high ceilings, king-size bed (which can be converted to twin beds if desired), and a large bathroom with oversized walk-in shower surrounded by glamorous golden splash-backs.

THE JULIET ROOM

The Juliet Room has antique French doors, which open onto a tiny Juliet balcony from where you can directly overlook the goings on of the bustling river port town of Goolwa. While this gorgeous room is not their quietest; it offers partial river views from the circa 1858 sash window, queen-size bed next to an Ecosmart fire and a step-up ensuite with a spacious walk-in shower.

THE QUIRKY ROOM

The Quirky Room has real wow factor due to the angular offset walls and mirrors. This extremely modern, quirkily-designed room has a queen-size bed and offers sunny views across to the hills. There a large walk-in shower and freestanding bathtub from where you can spy the little town from the circa 1858 sash window.

THE ISLAND ROOM

The Island Room is a large room, which is closest to the upper deck with its expansive views over Goolwa and surrounds. The Island Room has river views looking across the bustling Wharf precinct towards Hindmarsh Island. A queen-size bed, round glass table on wheels, a pair of decadent, low leather LeCorbusier chairs in front of an Ecosmart fire, all make this spacious room particularly comfortable. The glamorous step-up ensuite has a rain shower over the deep bathtub.

THE PARLOUR ROOM

The Parlour Room is their largest. The river-facing windows open to water views across the bustling Wharf precinct. Quite separate from the sleeping area and designer bathtub is a stunning ensuite with an oversized shower. The Parlour Room also has dining space with Ecosmart fire and leather seating, including a Toshiyuki Kita designed Dodo recliner.

All rooms feature: Split-system air conditioning, handmade Yukatas (Japanese bathrobes) and hairdryers.

  • The whole place is stylish and beautiful, creating a luxurious experience throughout the hotel and in our room. All the food was presented beautifully and tasted fabulous, served both directly to our door and in the dining room. Deb was the perfect host, making sure we had everything we needed.

    - NATALIE
  • The hotel and restaurant have been renovated beautifully — there is no kitsch here — just thoughtful design with a Japanese theme professionally done. The beds and bed linen are superb; our room was large, spotlessly clean and the freestanding bath on its own platform in the room was a piece of luxury. Both dinners were exceptional experiences.

    - MARK
  • On arrival, we were met by the delightful Deb, who showed us to our room and explained our weekend. She didn’t disappoint as every step delivered in spades. The antipasto plate delivered with anonymity and a crisp bubbles made us welcome, and Juliet’s cooked breakfasts were worth waking for! Food and a ripper little wine list didn’t disappoint. An indulgent weekend away!

    - ANDREW
  • The unexpected element of our stay was how good the food was — we had brilliant breakfasts every day, plus an amazing meal in the restaurant on Friday night. It's just divine. Deb and Juliet run such a beautiful property and are only too happy to help. It's a fabulous place — total luxury and a brilliant way to spend a glamorous, spoilt weekend.
